Okay, I plead ignorance. I have heard this; just don’t know who the composer is. Please tell me so that I can either go “well, duh” or “I didn’t know that” 🙂
Oops! I should have clarified. It’s the “Dies Irae” (Day of Wrath) from Verdi’s Requiem. The chorale I was in sang this last April, but that isn’t us on the YouTube – I just sang along with it this afternoon.
Thanks, I didn’t know that. Pure ignorance 🙂 When or what are you going to sing in next?
I’m no longer singing with the Master Chorale – new job will make it hard for me to make it to performances on time, so I’ve dropped out. However, I am singing with a group that is going to be providing the choir work for the Latin Mass at the Cathedral in Raleigh – Next Latin Mass, this coming Sunday, February 1.
You’ve won an award at my blog!
